Mr Darcy Custard Pie Fight - 'Pies and Prejudice'

'It's the best fun I've ever had!'

The Mr Darcy Custard Pie Fight 'Pies and Prejudice' was devised to pay homage to Jane Austen and celebrate her finishing off the famous novel Pride and Prejudice at the Rutland Arms Hotel here in Bakewell.
It created national interest in its first year and proved so popular that Chris Evans' invited us to Car Fest where it was performed daily to a packed arena.

The rules are very simple:-
1). Anyone of any age can enter.
2). Entrants can either dress up as a Mr Darcy where you bring your own costume or we can provide them.
3). The winner is the Darcy who is deemed by the audience to be the most pied!

Custard Pies are of the foam and paper plate recipe and we will assemble 15mins before Pie Fight at the Mr Darcy Pie Fight stand to make them.
The pie fight will be run in the afternoon each day, is free to enter and includes all your pies, but a donation to our chosen charity would be gratefully received.

It's unique, it's messy and everyone loves it.
As one of our previous entrants said. 'It's the best fun I've ever had!'
